Art Topics系列 Art Topics是“艺术夜生活”系列活动中与当代最新的艺术创作直接相关的部分,上海外滩美术馆将亲自策划,或与其他文化艺术机构合作,邀请来自于国内外的优秀艺术家、评论家、策划人,与观众一起分享他们最新的工作成果和深入的思考;并展开现场对话和交流,以期增进观众对当代艺术的理解,同时也使艺术家能直接获得受众的反馈,并对其工作提供有益的参考。

Li Mu was invited to participate in Apexart’s Residency Program during May 11 to June 12,2011. Li Mu was arranged in the apartment beside Manhattan, Union Square. He was given a schedule every week: a temple that only four monks in Steten island, a drama in underground basement of Wall Street, a family museum is located in the East Village, a ship museum floating in the sea, a forum about cuisine ... ... Follow the schedule, Li Mu would start his travel.
This event is organized by Biljana Ciric. Li Mu will talk about his residency project and his personal experience,and then, there is a dialogue between Biljana Ciric and Li Mu.
Li Mu Li Mu was born in 1974, Feng County, Jiangsu Province, China and lives and works in Shanghai.He graduated from the Suzhou School of Art and Design, Suzhou in 1995 and the Academy of Art of Tsinghua University, Beijing in 2001.
Biljana Ciric Biljana Ciric is independent curator based in Shanghai. In 2011 she initiated project Taking the Stage OVER, one year ongoing investigation related to performative aspects in art.
She is co-curator of Asia Triennale Manchester 2011 presenting project Institution for the Future and regular contributor for Yi Shu Journal, Flash Art, Broadsheet and other art publications.
Art Topics Series
Art Topics is the section in Night @ RAM that directly associates with the contemporary art practice. Rockbund Art Museum will curate and cooperate with other cultural and art organizations, inviting excellent domestic and international artists, critics, and curators, to share with audiences their most recent achievement and profound thinking. They will also communicate and interact with audiences during the events, in the hope to assist them to better understand contemporary art, and also help the artists to obtain direct feedbacks from the audiences, so as to provide them beneficial references.
These events demonstrate the open and interdisciplinary vision of Rockbund Art Museum. Artists will introduce the art practice not only on their expression, but also including the motivation behind the works, the related social and cultural issues, as well as the politics of art representation and seeing, etc. Contemporary artists have actively broken the traditional boundary between themes, media and forms of art, and the art has been emancipated. Therefore, Art Topics is going to become a public platform that probes into a certain art topic and allows all to have the opportunity to fully express their ideas and communicate with each other.
